Yeah - it's a bit convoluted as others have said, the lap delta thing but agree for a minor incident that it seems to work.

My issue is when the VSC is called for a situation that clearly warrants a full SC, we then have the VSC running for a lap or a big chunk of a lap (or more than a lap) prior to the full SC period - lengthens everything out that from the point of view of this armchair expert at home, doesn't achieve much and makes the safety periods longer and slower than they need to be IMHO.
