Still watching the delayed replays when I have time, but having coverage behind a paywall really sucks.

It's GTA/JAF's decision to give Motorsports TV exclusive rights to stream the series outside Japan so we have no control over it.

I miss Japanese Samurai a lot. A great part of being a racing fan is to chat about tech before races. Without Japanese magazines "inside" it's not that interesting. For me it's OK to watch races in a delay, a week later, but lack of tech info is frustrating.

The only thing I'm worried is what happened to Japanese Samurai?

1. No coverage on THE RACE
2. Japanese Samurai's absence 3. No interest in Super Formula either 4. Paywall and cheaper paywall (at Super Formula) I think they're reasons why. |

99 laps of Fuji. Impressive speed by #24 Nissan with Yokohama - they've managed to tune tyres even if temperature was not as high as it was expected. A slow pit-stop has ruined everything. Flawless run by #37 Toyota, a bit not that flawless - by #12 Nissan.
In GT300 it was a Mercedes race to loose. GT3 balance was obvious. Funny enough but GT3 Merc has lost a shot on win at 4H Igora Drive race the same day for almost the same reason. Impressed by Iori Kimura, who has driven a solid race until (as was reported via Twitter) a throttle braked. Subaru has highlighted the whole race with mobile checkmates on the final laps. Enjoyed those arts a lot. |

https://www.as-web.jp/supergt/848037 Japanese autosport reporting apr to develop a hybrid JAF GT300 car for 2023, but it won't be a 4door. So some Toyota/Lexus hybrid coupe. Lexus RC F is already in GT3, so my guess is the new Toyota sportscar or the Lexus LC.

apr is monopolizing GT300 [/sarcasm]
Would be great to get Mooncraft and Dome back into class to make new MC at least. There's some R&D among apr costumers but it used to be on higher level once. |

Strategic battles between #37 and Nissans. #37 decided to get a full tank during the 1st stop to save time on 2nd. And they've tried to save as much fuel as possible during the 2nd stint. It appeared to be the best choice, multiplied by the fact of long pit-stop for #24 (looks like they didn't put much fuel during the 1st stop) and a mistake by #12 exiting the pit-lane.

Tsuchiya Engineering have rebuilt their Supra and ready to go to Suzuka 450 km. I hope they will be more competitive than at the start of the season.

Does anyone know why the GT500 Supra has the weird little half moon grille on the front end near the Toyota badge? Extra cooling? Isn't the lower grille sufficient? The other makes don't seem to have any weird small extra grilles in that area m

Another unpredictable race. At least in GT500. Great strategy by #3 Nismo and superb rainy tyres. New engine type seems to be not a big deal for Honda as only lighter cars were in the mix. Toyota looks like playing strategic battle with no-ballast round in mind.
As for GT300 GT-R has spoiled the party. I have nothing against this machine but it (NDDP one) just dominates from championship point of view. By the way JAF GT300 are looking very weak for some reason. Would be pity to get another obligatory GT3 bop-fest. It's pity that Kimura had got his penality while Ara (for almost the same - and even harder hit which destroyed rear diffuser for Saitama apr Supra) not. Well, at least, during the race. |

Congrats for Nissan gang! what a race for finale, now that's racing.
To me, Toyota and Honda need back stronger next year on both class. But maybe for Honda bit harder. |

So here's what we've learned:
Super Formula's YouTube livestream is cheaper than motorsport.tv's monthly subscription. Anyway here's the race highlights. https://eu.motorsport.tv/super-gt/vi...hlights/166754 |

The trend is alive - a newcomer wins. Toyota engine is not that great, driver parings are questionable. Honda lacks of stable results. Really happy for Hoshino San. His team was lucky at last, winning a strategic battle throughout the year.
Great show from Kimura in GT300. A bit worried about his future at ARTA in the class. Hope he has shown that he deserves another chance. Frustrated by JAF GT300 form. They were nowhere near to the GT3 most of the time. At least it looks like that, even if Subaru and Toyopet had chances to win the title. Nissan even in BoPped form was too good. It was strange to me. I hope there will be more JAF GT300 cars. Not apr only, but garagists too. Tsuchiya-Supra hasn't shown all the best, I think. |

I remember waking up early hoping on NismoTV on Youtube to catch SUPER GT races! Listing to Sam Collins with the play by play was golden for me! I sure miss those days, I learned a lot from you guys on this forum as well!
