Im not a Holden die hard... or a Ford fornthat matter. More a team / driver supporter, but I was very happy to see a WAU 1-2 given the occasion. I aired my thoughts here on the invisible to TV T888 livery and loved the WAU version. A proper tribute you could read and see what it was.

Congratulations to Mr Fraser for his Dunlop Super2 championship victory
And to Mr Vaughan for his AMS team taking Super3 I do wonder if the V8SA mob might feel at least a trifle embarrassed for bouncing the AMS wildcard entry for Bathurst this year, considering the title win… |

Just caught up with the weekend's action, superb racing. Deserved winners on both days but how SVG contain himself after being given that late PLP? The temptation was surely to ignore it and go for the win on the track at least although it would have robbed his team mate of a maiden win. Whatever, it was a fitting end to the season with some great racing, thanks Superview.

Giz simply didnt need to overlap at the hairpin at all.
He could have allowed a gap of a dozen car lengths to appear before hitting the chicane if he wanted to, and still he would have gotten past cars before the restart lap was done. Just an unnecessary move to gain nothing, a silly decision, which probably cost him the win. |

Good weekend’s racing, nice to be back in Adelaide and also on free TV.
Race 1, felt sorry for Scott Pye and Cam Waters. Race2, more twists and turn than a Agatha Christie novel. |

Hopefully the new car's steering racks are better suited.

Is there any reason Gen3 doesn’t run electrically assisted steering?
Even if it breaks like the Existing hydraulic setup, at least it wouldn’t put fluid all over the place, and cause car fires.. |

Depends - many (most?) "electric" power steering systems still have hydraulics - just pressured and controlled by "fly by wire" electrics.

Likewise.
Can either have a motor on the rack, or a motor on the column. A lot of the TCR and GT3 cars have electric racks. Failures seem few and far between. |

Thanks both - stand corrected then - must confess that I'm not familiar with the race electric steering systems.

Electric steerings have only one advantage: less energy consumption. Thats the reason why they are build into production cars. The disadvantage is less feedback in the steering wheel. point 1 is not relevant for SC , point 2 is very important. |
