Unsure about the glueing themselves to support vehicles part, but they did invade the track at the start. It was pretty in-effective. They scaled the fence as the cars lined-up on the grid. They were removed by security within 2-3 minutes. The cars didn't car - the electric cars don't overheat on the line like ICE cars do.

There was another 2 minute delay whilst the start system was reset and officials checked reports of a substance on the track - which turned out to be false as well.

They delayed the race by about 5 minutes, that's it. There was no other effect. And of course they look a bit stupid protesting an electric car event - an event which agrees with their goals.

I wasn't particularly a big fan of Jack's but he was undeniable the voice of formula e. Hes done pretty much all of them except a couple where Martin Haven filled in I remember. It will be interesting to hear more details. But it on the surface it sounds like **** has hit the fan massively.

Definitely sounds like something serious must have happened to spark the change. I hope Jack didn't do anything bad because I quite like him, one of the best commentators out there at the moment.

I assume he'll not be featuring on any BBC coverage from here onwards either - Monaco he chose to step away from, presumably he now won't be involved at all.

Ben Edwards takes over Formula E commentary duties for now. Vernon Kay has also left the Formula E team - that was inevitable once he got a daytime slot on Radio 2.

I wasn't in London this year at I'm waiting for a hip replacement, but I can confirm that the visibility from T9 all the way to 16/17 was practically nil.

Not just for the drivers but for the observers and flag marshals room

The delay sucked but I'd rather have a sucky delay than a massive unsighted prang.
