Thanks for posting. I remember the beginnings of the AAR Toyota program at the 1983 Daytona 24. The crews thrashed on the three cars for most of the race. I think there were times when none of the three were running. Quite a driver lineup which had Dennis partnered with Al Unser Jr. and Mike Chandler, with Willie, Wally, and Whitney (Ribbs, Dallenbach, and Ganz) in the 2nd car, and Gene Hackman, Masanori Sekiya, and Kaoru Hoshino in the 3rd. The GTU class winning Mazda completed 544 laps, more than twice the total of the AAse and Sekiya cars put together. The 3 Ws managed to be running at the finish, completing 365 laps for 7th in GTU. I would never have guessed Dennis was 81.
