Fair enough, all that does make sense. I guess I really I wasn't considering that the brand recognition does make an impact to sponsors and PR. Thank you. It still doesn't quite explain what happened to VW, but then they never really got involved to begin with.
To GasGasfuss, I think there's probably around 10 Alfa's around compared to over 200ish SEAT/Cupra's? Sad to think so many of them are coup'd away in a warehouse somewhere when they're still premium racing cars with plenty of useabiltiy. |

Volkswagen ceased their motorsport department.
A lot of TCR cars have found their way to all sorts of series. |

About Cupra.
They moved to Formula E and Extreme E (both with Abt). I don't follow these series so their involvement is unnoted for me. |

Yes, Cupra seemed to have changed to completely E-Racing (as mentioned + ETCR). So the Leon Competicion is now maybe not build anymore????
I think, Audi has a good customer support, same as Hyundai. Honda can be a problem, as maybe JAS is maybe busy with other things. Some years ago, it was Seat with best support, parts truck at many events etc. @Alessio: i meaned Alfa touring cars in general (since 60s). When i see, how many Seat Supercopas, WTCC-Leon (incl. Diesel), Leon TCR, Leon Competition were built... I agree - too many race cars sit somewhere unused, waiting (or rusting) for next race... Last sunday i visited Engstler Motorsport...they have at least 2x Hyundai, 2x Honda TCR cars sitting in showroom/garage, not speaking about BMW Z4 GT3 etc..... |

TCR Germany + WTCR to one car this year is a step down. |

Hopefully next rounds will also bring enough wildcards, as the full season entry list is really small (unfortunately)

Down to 12… https://twitter.com/touringcartimes/...T11pmdgnSSDQzA
So it’s essentially just an Audi one-make series now! |

Frankly, their reasoning sounds a bit silly
They race the same car in TCR Italy (same BOP for all TCR models bar success ballast), still took poles on fast circuits like Imola and Mugello (1km straight) Wonder if it has something with Borkovic's usual emotional behaviour Anyway a shame, TCR Europe already had a lot of struggles |

I admit Comtoyou is very experienced and running a lot of cars in TCR Europe and World Tour. They are probably the best in TCR Europe in terms of engineering and drivers. |

Target team is well known for their arrogance. Now, they got a big bill to pay.

Last weekend the TCR Europe season came to an end.
Tom Coronel is the new champion. Quote:
Will Comtoyou return next season or will they focus on GT3 and GT4 with Aston Martin? |
