Looking back at their best finishes in IMSA this past season: The BMW got 2nd at Sebring 2nd at Long Beach 1st at Watkins (ok 2nd on road but...) 3rd at Mosport 3rd at Indy 5 total podiums in 9 races isn't spectacular but it isn't Vanwall or Peugeot level either. |

It's consistency, and that's what many teams and manufacturers look for. It keeps you in the fight and on the podium, not to mention have everybody else thinking, 'what's he got, and why is he always there at the end of the race'.
After a couple of bad breaks at Daytona and Watkins Glen, they really got things together to make a strong contender. A lot of good data for the guys back in Munich to work with, so that the Evo will be a major contender for WEC. |

Was the BMW last year struggling for pace a bit?

Sebring - 4th Portimao - 3rd Spa - 1st Le Mans - 2nd Monza - 3rd Fuji - 1st Bahrain - 1st That's 6 out of 7 podiums with 3 victories. I would call the level of competition in both series roughly equal as well. As I said before, RLL are a solid team with a history of successful factory partnerships, but I would consider WRT to be that bit better. |

For context the pace of the cars was ridiculously close.
This combines the Porsche and Cadillac times and compares them across WEC and IMSA. The BMW tended to be the slowest of the big factory teams. Even Peugeot. The chart shows Peugeot was closer on race pace to Porsche and Cadillac in WEC than BMW was in IMSA. https://tentenths.com/forum/showpost...2&postcount=90 They had their moments as mentioned above. However, WEC is different tracks and now they have a season under their belt. They’ll be close, because it is. They need to do a bit of work and it’s a new team. I don’t see anything wrong with the IMSA team, but WRT can run a race, as shown above. |

I'm sure there will be a lot of talk about them in a little over 3 months time. Lets see how they do in the prologue and then their first race. It's a new track so it may be anyone's game!

All the teams not having previous data could help. However for the other teams the only new thing is the track, for BMW much more is new.

No jokers for BMW in 2024. So looks like only Porsche and Peugeot are bringing the updates for season opener, while Ferrari might introduce them later (probably before Le Mans). |

It's not really a generational thing, as much as it's just raw numbers unfortunately. If you portrait mode a video you can use it on YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and TikTok. Mobile also outscores desktop/laptop/tablet significantly on hits.
We're old school and like widescreen, but numbers don't like - portrait videos on mobile will do better. |

Yeah, it's all about what form you're delivering it in and few seem to want to edit to create a Shorts style video from a landscape format original. That seems to be more an ad for a long video thing on YT than a standard
