Alex E should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
License requirements...

I plan to do a few Peter Auto HTC races this year. I see on their regulations they require an International C or D license. From what I have read a D license seems to be only for historic events but its not clear if the medical requirements are the same ? Also they mention a highest grade national license is acceptable `with special authorisation to race abroad`. I assume from the RACMSA ?
Has anyone used the last option with success ?

Derwent is heading for a stewards' enquiry!
Motor Sport UK website and the Blue Book will have the answers. MSA hasn't been used as the name for some years.

Hi Alex. People at Peter Auto are quite helpful, many speak a very good english and they do know what they're talking about. From what I know, its possible to apply for an itl licence for a weekend. Dont know about the requirements though. PA has what is called here ASA (Association Sportive Automobile) called ASA Tour Auto (they issued my last licences C because its cheaper). I assume you're English, right? Have fun, HTC grid is very well supported you won't feel alone (Grp1, Grp2, Grp A + Mustangs in Grp1)!

Avoid the confusion between "Tour Auto" which is the name of a rallye and "ASA Tour Auto" which is different, please.

hi Robert,
I have the original GS Tuning Gp 2 2002 Warsteiner car. Thats what I plan to use.
The confusion I find is that Peter Auto mention minimum requirement International C or D license. But a highest grade National license is also acceptable. So I can find no info on what a `D` license is only a mention somewhere that its for Historic Motorsport only.. Also if a National license is accepted why would anyone go through the pain of getting an International license. Seems strange but I suppose PA would be able to answer my questions.

Hi Gerard, Yes i am English ! I used to do HTC races years ago with my CSL. just wish to avoid the hassle of getting an International license for a few races as its not so easy when you reach a certain age....Alex.

Wahoo, a Batmobile then! May be we've been neighbors at Jarama or Spa. The nicest people I met in HTC was Martin H and friends at Spa. My blokes had a unique pink Mustang and of course the now gone old Claude Boissy pedalling an Escort. I understand your concern about the requirements for an itl licence, you'll find help from PA office for sure. Mind you that its easier to fix any detail prior to the race you intend to enter and not in situ.

Hi Alex, long time....
MSUK issued me a letter stating that I could race internationally after I downgraded from Int C to Nat A licence, which should be accepted by Peter Auto. However, as Gerard has suggested you you should with Peter Auto, whom I've found to be very helpful.
