HSCC SuperPrix Brands July 13/14 HFF are back!

repeat message in National Single seaters.....

HSCC SuperPrix Brands July 13/14 Great Event. Great Racing.

From us at Historic Formula Fords, we return. Got a car? Join us.
Anyone reading this and have a ready-to-race HFF (pre 72 Formula Ford) will be more than welcome to join us in our return to our old form grids of heats & final a short while back.
We are subsidising entry fees with a £100 reduction, an FF engine sponsor offering reduced costs on engine parts (thank you Bennett Race Engines), returning to our old format of raffled sets of free Race Tyres and there'll be Trophies (in particular the Ray Allen Trophy - the first FF race winner in '67), Evening BBQ in our hospitality area and a discounted temporary weekend HSCC membership for those non-members.

How about it? GP circuit (Gorgeous!), the best racing in historics and a big grid of friends racing WITH friends - all not to miss.

Contact the HSCC Office to enter.

Historic Formula Ford Racing - the best....

Rather than start a new thread I thought I'd post the entry numbers on here as Version 1 was released today

HF2 - 8 Cars
HFF - 26 Cars
HF3 - 23 Cars
DBT - 31 Cars ( Including 14 Formula 5000s which is incredible )
CFF - 26 Cars
Super60s ( NKHTGT ) - 34 Cars
Guards - 18 Cars
Touring Allcomers - 5
Griffiths Haig - 11

Some okay grids with the highlights being the Dutch grid and the Derek Bell races.

Covid seemed to proceed with a decline of the popularity of Historic Formula 2 and as for the Touring Legends well is their any surprise...

Huge grid for DB Trophy and only 8 for HF2? What’s going on? Is Marcus Pye right that championships are on the way out to be replaced by short series?

I'd say so, championships have always felt like a bonus for those doing every round rather than something serious. As entry lists are so different for most events I always felt it a little pointless to some degree.

The huge Formula 5000 grid is because of a number of cars travelling from New Zealand.

Great racing today from the rejuvenated FF grids, HF3 was noisy and close and the DBT was a visual and aural overload. Dutch cars made an absorbing race too. HF2 was disappointingly thin but they sounded and looked wonderful. Same again tomorrow and hopefully a bit warmer.

Used to love the super Prix, good to see a good f5000 entry list.

Where the other grids much bigger in the end?

Super Sixties has been doing well for a while so cool to see them go to brands

The Touring cars were very thin and the Griffiths Haigh races continue to disappoint. The rest of the meeting was really good, much better than last year. The Super Sixties had two close and spectacular races and were a welcome novelty in the UK. THE 5000s were monumental,
