After the recond attendance at the motogp, the ACO will be looking to improve things and maximise the money the get, grandstands are a good generator of extra funds

Bearing in mind all of the issues that those camping there seem to have had in the last year or two, perhaps outside?

TD has the outside of Porsche Curves, the area on the inside links to BSJ but it has or had, a "fanzone" with a bar etc. as per the pic from 2022. I confess I couldn't find it when I stayed on BSJ last year.

There’s a fairly vacant area just north of TD (across the road) on outside of track. It’s minor parking area that could easily be relocated elsewhere
Good view of second half of curves and up past Karting - would need a link to main spectator area. Thus wouldn’t impact on existing viewing. The old Porsche VIP area has been used by a relative handful of people the last few years (it is isolated though) |

I found that bar in the early morning on Sunday last year, there weren't a lot of fans around at that point. It felt like it was was a decent hike down a lane and then through a campsite, but it was a nice place to watch from.

Does anyone know if the old derelict house "Maison Blanche" is still there and boarded up?
I used to know the owner and really fancied getting hold of it!! |

It won't satisfy photographers, but the extra elevation defintely makes for an improved viewing experience. I've spent far more time there than I have in previous years.

Access to the roof of both the new and old karting buildings is denied this year, which is disappointing.

No, although I'd wager the old karting building is now considered too dilapidated and unsafe (it's been in quite a state for a number of years now), but the staircases up to the roof off the new pit building were blocked of with huge black wheelie bins for no apparent reason. There's also Avis (I think) advertising bannering (if that's a word) covering the fencing along that stretch of track. Not a satisfying spectator experience anymore. Sad loss.

Peter has since informed me that the big black wheelie bins blocking the stairs up to the roof of the new karting garages had been removed on Thursday and the roof was again accessible for spectators. Bravo!

The new bank at Mulsanne is not an addition that I would ever have thought of, but quite welcome. We never spend much time away from the corner itself down there, but for the little time we did, being able to stand higher and see further was a good, simple addition.

Some resurfacing of the road sections. From Tetre Rouge and up the Mulsanne. Then later some from Arnage to Porsche Curves.
