I'm going to say DeLeon, wrung the neck of that Leon all weekend, wasn't afraid to get stuck in but kept relatively out of trouble. Would picked up JST and Independents in Race 3 if he hadn't picked up damage avoiding the Cook incident.

I thought that allowances were made for those sorts of incidents when it came to ride height. I think that it's possible that he may have damaged the car's geometry by hitting the curbing so hard; he was one of the drivers who consistently drove over the sausage curbing throughout the day. That must have had some undesirable effects. |

Anyone else feel the whole SC in R3 was unnecessary and created more problems than it solved? They bought it out just to put the ‘tyre stack’ back in position after Cookie hit it, despite it not being in a dangerous position. Having put it back in position, it was now without it’s cover on and as a result it started getting shredded by cars knocking, putting detritus on the track

They put it back, not because it was a danger but because drivers were trying to cut the chicane - the very reason it was put there. The drivers, probably knowing that it wouldn't seriously damage their cars if they dislodged it, unlike a tyre stack which can end a race for a driver if hit, they didn't seem to mind nudging it to make the corner easier and faster. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't put a sausage curb there for next year, thereby negating the need for the stack. |

Serious question - can they not just put a gravel trap there?

However I must admit that as soon as I saw the news I thought he had got fed up with the endless silly problems on his car and was going elsewhere. It's no wonder people think it's money with that weird press release prior to Knockhill though. |

If he had the money there's a championship contending BMW sitting around at WSR he could be driving this weekend. Gotta be better for your future prospects than watching it on the telly?

Just had a look at Pearson's Instagram page and his latest post in which he talks about the situation doesn't sound like money issues at all. It gives an impression that he's certain to be on the grid next year. If it turns out like that remains to be seen of course but I'm really hoping to see him back in a better environment for him that'll help him thrive as he's probably the only one who can be regarded as a future BTCC star at the moment.

Did anyone else hear the comment by Steve Rider, when he was in front of the garages during the preamble yesterday, before the first race that budgetary issues had affected the "amicable" split for Pearson. Something that the other three did not correct although Harvey did make a reference to the word "amicable", but I'm not certain what he actually said. |

Drivers chosing to leave teams isn't always about budget. |

I don't disagree about that, merely pointing out that Steve Rider mentioned that budget was part of the reason that Pearson left the team. And the others chose not to contradict him. |

Yeah I'm sure Steve obtained his information from certain sources who prefer the "amicable" party line.

Were reliability issues not also mentioned? Maybe the budget aspect is that RP didn't think his budget was being spent appropriately.
Unfortunately I think the typical casual/armchair fan hears 'budget' and automatically assumes that it's a case of running out of money to carry on |
