I'm sure the SRO is waiting for the the official Tenths comments to adjust their schedule. What they have is exactly what teams were crying for, now they got it and all crying they don't like it??

It was curious to me that they've scrapped the pit window in the GT4 series (dont know about the others as i didnt watch) for a "maximum stint length" of 35 minutes. Which effectively means teams are still pitting within that 25-35 minute period that was normally covered by the pit window.... Why was this done? It doesn't affect the race, i just wonder why they changed something for the same outcome?
Also wanted to say how much i like the Nissan Z GT4, it looks and sounds fantastic. I wish Nismo/Nissan would bring it to Europe. |

The GT WC America races at COTA are pretty good and worth a watch. Links below. The DXDT liveried Corvettes are fantastic. Ryan, Calvin, and Amanda are a great commentary team. NBC should take Ryan for their IMSA races I think. The downside I will say how its obvious that 90 minute races are too long for this series.

Gee I wonder if the whole Cybersecurity update fail is going to keep George Kurz out of his Mercedes AMG at VIR this week? Might not be a good look if he is out racing after a massive issue like that.

1. Races with 12 or 13 car grids are still littered with safety car periods
2. Flying Lizard Aston withdrew from race 2 due to BoP concerns. My goodness GT WC America is not in a good place. Maybe they should reformat the series as "American GT" next year and copy British GT. |

You've described the remnants of SCCA WC since it stopped being that and went to SRO. It's been a dumpster fire of we demand a "fair" shake (but more fair for me please) and wanting to be a series with something for everyone. We always joke about the ILMC podium at Sebring and lasting days, every round of the SRO America and the 4.5 million classes is that.

So the GT WC America two 90 minute races format remains for 2025. My guess is that the drivers really enjoy having the extended seat time in the car that the format provides. Although single driver 50 - 60 minute races in the spirit of Pirelli World Challenge in the early 2010s can do that as well. Also perhaps some teams for will field an extra car for each driver. But SRO passed on that idea again.

The Indy 8 hours ICGT race could be more interesting this year with DXDT Corvette being so strong. I hope they add Antonio Garcia to the #63 car. If so they could challenge WRT and AF Corse or whatever pro Mercedes team enters (if they enter).

25 cars is a decent enough number. We don't expect too many safety car issues. What stinks is that its only spread between 6 manufacturers. With the 3 three active German marks dominating. I'm picking the #63 Corvette to win overall myself.

Some dude named Alex is gonna try his hand at GT car racing.
https://sportscar365.com/sro/world-c...-star-at-indy/ Bryan Sellers leaving PMR to be DXDT program manager and it sounds like drive as well. https://racer.com/2024/09/30/bryan-s...ager-position/ |

Think it depends on where they want to drive as Silvers in the future. Wouldn't be surprised to see them add a GTDX program as much as change series
