This is the point that most people don't understand. A consistent rule set is great, but you get to a point where the cost to gain 1/10th becomes massive. Then all costs go through the roof. There is no easy answer to stop it happening, otherwise championships would do it already.

He and Neal were interviewed on the grid at Silverstone. Plato had to quickly cover as he couldn't remember the name of the driver who had invited him to be there.

Hopefully he's staying off the booze. Still find it incredible that it isn't a bigger story. Then again Frank Wrathall was racing for a few years with a Death by Dangerous Driving prosecution ongoing.

Big ask I know but would just love to see different models of car on the grid but with 2027 coming up with new regs I don’t see it happening.

Therefore it would make sense for any team that believes that they have extracted the maximum from their development of their current cars to invest in a newer vehicle (assuming their long range business plan is to remain in the BTCC), otherwise they are likely to slip further and further back on the grid. |
