Could explain, the sudden dropping of Frosty for next year and the signing of a young gun replacement.
Charlie Forklifts might have some extra dollars from Toyota to lure a driver, and the Toyota name as an incentive to get ADP on board. It seemed a bit funny at the time for ADP to leave DJR, to go Team18. |

How the Supra looks now (as in the announcement) is how it will race, Toyota won’t allow their car looking like a joke. |

The glasshouse was the frame, but everything else including the droop snoot, was 100% for performance gain. the Supra anyway can just be scaled up and kept in proportion, it's proportions are not massively different to the other 2 cars, unlike trying to squish a 2 door car over frame built for a 4-door car. |

It would have been good for Toyota to run a supped up original Supra engine, I get they are kinda promoting the Tundra, but original would have been better and maybe encouraged other manufacturers to come in

Wonder if the ‘works’ cars will be 100% factory backed & branded…
Like the old TTA days, trade sponsors only.. |

Given how they’ve stated they want to promote the GR brand you’d assume at least one of them will be in that livery, ala Caruso who ran the “factory” Nissan from 15-18, guess it depends how long the Optus & Truck Assist deals run for

Caruso's Nissan ran primarily in Nissan livery primarily because the team was unable to secure sponsorship after Norton departed. I would imagine a splattering of Toyota signage will appear much like they appear on other cars, rather than Toyota becoming the naming rights sponsor.
