I heard elsewhere that RK has died. I read an interview with him in Octane only a month or so ago. It would be fair to say that the passage of years hadn't been kind to somebody who'd been such a likely lad in his salad days. Good racer, with some great stories.

Yes sadly a friend shared the news this morning.
R.I.P A colourful character, his is career was quite meteoric upto F1 but then it derailed somewhat. Was it a case of too much too soon, or right place, wrong time? I recall the plucky efforts in the odd looking Ultramar Group C Lola with Guy Edwards. No chance against the factory Porsches and Lancias but a good effort nonetheless. |
