Next year im WCE there will be BMW with the Evo GT3, Merc, Porsche, Lambo, Ford, Ferrari and I suspect, GM.

There will peobably be some R8s still involved.

In 26 we should also see Lexus, a new Lambo, the new Merc, a possible Maserati programme .

Sounds great, though Maserati has not yet announced any GT3 participation, right? The MC20 has proved very competitive in GT2, but the level of competition in that class/series is probably not a yardstick.

If they mean 2025 then surely a new manufacturer to the series can only mean Corvette?

Mustang is already there.

I would be dubious about buying a Vette, not many of the customer cars have done a thing, whereas the Mustang seems to go OK!!

Even a team as experienced as TF sport have not really done that well with them. But with as much money as Panda has I am sure they can pay someone to help,

Interesting but it must just be 'keeping race fit'
I mean unless Audi are still going to support selected teams properly, why would he buy a 2nd hand R8 for next year?

Any team will search him out for obvious reasons, he has a budget to bring and buy rides, might not mean anything

I am so glad Dylan Pereira was ok after the giant accident at the start of the GTWC Sprint race in Barcelona today. Just a ridiculous situation where the end of the concrete barrier sticks out slightly from the end of the metal armco. The TV coverage didnt pick up the aftermath but amateur videos online show a huge fire immediately after the impact.

If you watch it frame by frame it looks like the armco deformed when the Merc punted the Audi off which revealed enough of the concrete wall to rip the side of the Audi off rupturing the fuel and/or oil system. Dylan is very lucky he wasn't sitting on the other side of the car, because that side was completely engulfed in flames.

Apparently WRT have protested the race 1 result. Not sure why because the article on Endurance Info is behind a paywall.

WRT's protest for the race 1 result got rejected by the stewards, but they appealed, so the championship isn't decided until the FIA ??Court of Appeal decides on the case.

It will be heard by the National Court of the Royal Automobile Club of Belgium - the ASN which gives the overarching Championship permit.
