From the images in the article, it looks like it has the overall dimensions (in terms of height/width/length ratios) of a hatchback, not an SUV.

The floor seems raised in comparison with the road car.

yeah, they're "based on a real story"

The Tracker (Road Car) was always a weird design to me beacuse it had a lot of nice design details but was ruined by its proportions, too tall, short and narrow, it always looked like a resized full size suv.
The new one is better in that regard but still has the proportions of a raised compact car.
The Stock Car changes a lot of those proportions, i like it more than the road car.

There was a rain delay, and the top drivers in Q3 gambled to put slicks.

I'm still at the office, but I'll be there tomorrow

We arrived a bit too late, and missed almost every lap of the morning race...

The Stock Cars are powerful, light and reasonably loud, so they give a much better show than TCR. Also they don't spread out, probably thanks to carefully desinged rear wing.

However they struggled to overtake because the track is a bit too narrow and the hairpin is too tight. Nevertheless, my father thought they were absolutely awesome.

There was a one-hour pitlane access for fans with paddock tickets. Cars were unfortunately parked inside the garages and we couldn't stand next to them. But several drivers gave signed hats and selfies, including Barrichello and Massa. Lines grew quickly, so I got a Texaco hat signed by Felipe Baptista instead. I wanted to buy a T-shirt or a mug, but there was no store. In contrast, TCR had absolutely no access to drivers either year, which was awful.

The event was confirmed very late, so the AUVO had no races, as two classes had raced last week, and next week all classes go to Rivera. This can be fixed for next year.

So in the gap between races there was a drifting show (same as TCR) and a freestyle motocross show (I saw single backflips on the first session and missed the second session).

Ticket sales were believed to be low, but in the end I saw a pretty good crowd, probably thanks to perfect weather. I'd rather have them again next year over TCRs, even as they switch to turbo-4s. According to authorities, Stock Cars will be back only if they also visit Argentina.

Glad to hear you had a good time. I’m surprised that (presuming it’s the world tour) the TCR had poor fan access, as I believe that was always part of WTCC’s promotion.

Looking towards the new cars for 2025, do we know if the plans for a fourth manufacturer are still going ahead? I know there was some talk of a Chinese manufacturer entering, but haven’t seen anything since then.
