In what was an utterly miserable event for him, begun by a near-rookie like inability to stop the car on the grid in the correct place, giving him DOTR is to be applauded as an act of the utmost charity.......
Carlos for me, and I'll agree with the kudos for JPH at the steward's table.... |

Like almost everyone else, I can't see past Carlos for DOGP. Lando was also impressive. Checo wasn't.

was it odd that he was standing separate and in front of everyone else for the national anthem...do they do this at other races for their home town driver?
got the feeling that they were honouring him for his last home race. |

I voted Carlos, for I am a big fan of his and I so much wished for him to win once more as he is living his dream racing in red. So sad, like it so often happens, that the saga will end. Vamos! Smooth operator...
But, there where two other driver I think where outstanding, and those where Lewis and George. Hard and clean racing that entertained for lap after lap. I loved to see George defending! He is such a cerebral racer, and you could almost see how Lewis where analyzing him as well over the laps. Great fun. I really can't stand the man, but I must also say I think Kevin in the Haas did deliver a drive worthy of a DotD. Very impressive work. Can we please get rid of Checo now, please? |

Carlos drove a perfect race. He's had a decent year and he deserves to stay. Great battle between the Mercs too. George did his best to hold back Lewis, but Lewis wasn't to be denied.
Magnussen is definitely back on form. Perez needs to move on DOTR to Sainz |
