Car doesn't matter. Engineering does. I think the obvious choice is Antonio Carrozza and his partnership with Ash Sutton.

The BMW 3-series has, I think, been consistently the best car of its era with the exception of 2023 and possibly 2021. Sometimes Sutton and Ingram have beaten it to titles but I think that was down to driver more than car.

The Honda Civic FK2 is also an obvious choice for its early domination and longevity.

At its peak, the Subaru Levorg was something special. Same with the Toyota Avensis which took a long time to get going but was fantastic in 2018.

The Levorg was either a genius feat of engineering or a masterclass in how to bend the rules. The Avensis was great in the hands of Tom Ingram and Speedworks, it wasn't that impressive elsewhere though.

I think it has to be the Frederico Turrata homologation of the Q50 in 2020.

In it's first two years on the track -
2x Drivers' Championships.
2x Independent Drivers' Championships.
1x Teams' Championship.
2x Independent Teams' Championship.

Umm, I'm not sure all that success was down to Federico.

I would argue that is as much down to the driver as to the car. The 4 driver titles are all the same person, who also put in the bulk of the effort towards the team's titles

As with all success, there is a whole team behind it.

It was him though who identified the potential in the car and kick-started the process towards the 2020 homologation.

Obviously you have to add in the existing experience of the team at LTR, and the input from Erik Turlejski and the rest of Hexathron.
And then of course there is Sutton's input, as well as the BMR crew and Antonio Carrozza.
