The #6 Porsche got 217 laps in! The Aston got 96 laps in. It’s probably representative of where they are in development.
Lots of long stints, 20+, for #6 peaking with some 28/29 lapers. In the first session #23 had a period of four in and out one lap runs. Second session the stints tended to be 6 to 12 laps. They did get a 24 lapper in at the end which was stopped by the chequered. That is when their fastest lap came four laps from the end. |

It seems there is some live coverage on the IMSA Youtube channel at 6pm UK time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GpRuvWklVfE

I'm hoping it'll look better with a regular livery, but heart of racing doesn't usually have a great looking livery anyway. |

No need to for it to be that good looking, it needs to just be effective

That is true.
Still a little low on laps at Daytona. At the other end the #6 was still the other extreme after the final sessions. |

DSC says the Valkyrie was running silencers. I think the WEC has a new rule for how loud the car can be so this might be the reason. Lamborghini topping the charts is hopefully a good sign for the brand.

Except maybe the rear wing there's nothing wrong with the Aston Martin Valkyrie.

On the topic of performance rather than looks, yes it needs a bit of speed and lots more running.
It got in a decent 4th session with 85 laps. This was mainly eight 10 lap stints. With some in and outs. That was actually more than Lamborghini did and both suffer with just one car. And look at the #6. Lots and lots of running and mainly long stints too. (apologizes for the weird title, I just ran it through my normal program) |
