Michigan 2001 was the best for me. Rockingham 2001 was also good.

Sorry, Bizzo... No luck so far. Rounded up all of the loose videotapes I could find anywhere in the house, played the unlabelled ones, and couldn't find the 2001 Michigan. Thing is, I know I've got it. Same with the 97 and 99 MIS races, and the 95 Indy.
I do have 96 Michigan, 96 Nurburgring, 97 Jerez, 98 LongBeach, 98 Michigan, 00 Michigan and 01 Indy. I've also got two homemade "Season Review" tapes from 96 and 97. What I did those years, (because I had time on my hands back then), was record every race and edit the highlights onto another tape. The 97 version includes F1 and IROC highlights. But both are insanely long, something like 6-7 hours per tape! Good off-season viewing, though, to rekindle some memories. |

How could I have forgotten? As mentioned in another thread, I just got a copy of Fontana from last week!

Honestly, I've avoided this topic because there's just too many great races to pick one or even a few. It hasn't been a good year, but in the past, having the race decided by an exciting end of race pass (or attempt at one) seemed to be the norm.

Mainly in Zanardi's prime, Jay... what about Toronto'98? It was domination by Dario, until he spun with brake problems.
Alex found himself behind Andretti and he outbraked the #6 at turn 3, with Michael locking up even.... It wasn't what you call a memorable race, until Alex did it... Last edited by Jordi; 9 Nov 2002 at 23:15. |

Laguna Sega when Zanardi chased down and passed Herta on the turn 8 complex on the last lap to take the win.
This last race at Fontana was one to be remembered for a long time to come. |

My favorite race has to be Toronto in 2001. Michael Andretti spun in the first corner, ended up in last and then won the race. Toronto is not an easy place to pass at, but he did it.

Actually Toronto has 3 pretty decent places to pass, which is a lot for a street circuit. As I remember it though, Michael's win had more to do with a great pit strategy, and a mistake by Tagliani towards the end of the race.

The only thing I remember about that Cleveland race was the duel between Mansell and Tracy. Certainly was one of my favourite races, too.
