EarnhardtS to race works Corvette at Rolex 24

That's right. I can't believe no one posted this earlier, since the news came out yesterday afternoon. Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. will team with Andy Pilgrim to race a factory Chevrolet Corvette at the 2001 Rolex 24 at Daytona. Check it out.

Sounds cool to me. I think I might drive over to Daytona for that. Then again, I could just sit on the couch and watch all 24 hours of it on Speedvision.

I think they'll find it a little bit tougher than when whatever Nascar driver Roush felt like putting in his car go go out and just ride around and still win(and that was in GT(U) to boot). Earnhardt should do decently, don't know bout lil E, yeah he did win the glen in bgn, but otherwise? What really intrigued me was the whole 1-2 hr stint buisness. They ain't gonna win changing drivers that often?

The announcers brought it up during Talladega this weekend, but the two were also supposed to run at last year's Daytona and it never happened. With the way GM is running the team there may not be a factory Corvette team next year.
