1970 De Sanctis F3
can anyone tell me anything abt this Alfa Romeo engined F3 car raced by Carlo Franchi? What series is it now eligible for and is it competitive?

If it is a 1970 De Sanctis,better check what size engine it has.'70 was last year of the one litre 'screamers'Sounds like this one may have been fitted with a 1600cc Alfa for the 1971-73 F3.In which case it would be eligable for historic F3. They were certainly competitive in Italian F3-I will see if I can find some results if you are that interested.

this is what I thought.
so it is basically a very uncompetitive car for Historic F3 as it is wingless 1600 rather than 2 litre and on treaded tyres! I saw a very pretty Ensign with a Lous twin cam for sale for over two years for the same reason! its a pity that the 1600 class is almost non existant |
