the Formula Ford Festival Final was just fantastic,
I have never seen such a good battle for the lead in a final. every classic event happened, the overtake and immediate re-overtake, the hold-up and the attackers cought out. I feel sorry for James Courtney, Robert Dahlgren and Mark Taylor because they were so much faster than Davidson but Anthony deserves the crown with such great defending. A cheer also for the young american Danica Patrick because although she was lucky with the accident in front of her, she drove very well and gave Peter Gray a Scare at Paddock Bend. And Mackmot, I have to admit that the Mygales and Van Diemens were faster, I am very pleased with 15th. what did al of you think of the New Mygale And Van Diemen cars? and I must say it again (WOW) what a great Final. I'm sorry for all of you who coudn't attend, you really missed a great meeting. |

It was great sooooo exciting.
We are disapointed after being knoncked off by courtney but davidson deffinately deserved the win. After party wasnt up to much unlike last years. The new mygale is an exact copy of our car except for the rear dampers. also as from next year we are a second works mygale team for twin dampered myagale and haywood have mono dampered cars. isnt that cool. |

we had a horrible start on monday when our promotion ford focus had a road accident 200 metres from the paddock entrance.
the car was driven by Tristan te Pas but he was fine. Jaap Van lagen was in the back and was knocked out cold. one mechanic smashed his head through a side window. the race driver Van lagens spent a day and night at Sidcup Hospital. but as the weekend progressed our times came down and finally we were 1 1/2 seconds to slow but it was nice to know that when it rained we only lost 1 tenth of a second to Michael Vergers. Two of our cars made the Final (count the works swift as a Geva car) The "works" car retired with engine failure but the second car (with van lagen) made it to 15th!! Nice to know that You are getting what you deserve from Mygale, Mackmot, the works status I mean. Are you doing the winter series this year or is the team skipping it. we are, maybe I'll see you there! |

I went last year to the festival and that was good. I went primarily because I saw an offer in a newspaper for free tickets. I hadn't even considered going before. I had a great day at Brands and I would have liked to go again this year but other things got in the way.
Geva : Good luck in the winter series, I'll see how it went in Autosport! BTW, what type of license do you need to drive in the festival? I asked myself this for some reason and I think it may be a national B license but I'm not sure |
