A few thoughts from looking at the list:
1) The stratification of the teams and how the list nearly breaks down into a "Noah's Ark" procession with a few exceptions. I think Barrichello's aggregate is a truer reflection of the quality of the Ferrari this past season. Schumacher is simply superlative. 2) Salo (highly rated) is barely faster than Diniz (The Piker), either Pedro is better than he is given credit or Salo is not so good as he believes he is. 3) That the Jordans are fast, but unreliable, is proven. Ralfie, though slightly slower, gains Fifth in the Championship through a unexpectedly reliable car. 4) Arrows really did raise their game, let's hope they don't take a step backward with the re-badged Pig-guts. 5) Eddie is a lot better than I gave him credit for. The car was a dog, and yet he is still in the top ten. 6) The Prost really was THAT bad. |

At the start of the year Jackie Stewart predicted that Rubens would outqualify MS more than 5 times, and that he would be close to Michael in qualifying all year. I think he, like many have been proved wrong. DC is also surprising. I thought that he wouldnt be as close to Mika as the stats say. Hmm Interesting. It also appears that the prediction that Trulli would be quicker than Heinz is true.

I think RB being slower can be attributed to two things: firstly he is not as good as TGF but also he has to work for TGF in terms of trying out tyres etc and also with inferior equipment, which may be why he is so far behind the Mclarens.

It's rigged - what is the standard deviation to rule out the effects of certain circuits!
