Troy,

Not as yet, but I will keep you posted.

I am going to be at the Australian Institute of Sport with Will Power in about a months time, so I will let you know then.

Daisy,

3 cars will be run by ADR.

Scott Speed and Will Davison have already signed.

Paul England is very close to signing, he is the unbackable favourite to take the third and final seat.

hehehe, yeah same dude.

I had never heard of him before, and I thought that was his first name.

But latest news is that Will Power is back in contention for the seat.

Another Aussie on the International driving scene
Will Davison signs up for F3

Another Australian driver is on his way to the International Racing scene hoping to follow in the footsteps of his fellow countryman, Mark Webber. Twenty-year-old Victorian driver, Will Davison has signed on to compete for expatriate Alan Docking in the 2003 Formula 3 championship.

The move to F3 came a lot quicker that Davison had dared hoped for, however that doesn't mean he hasn't the credentials to be there. With more than 20 karting titles to his young name, Will also has the title of 2001 Australian Formula Ford Champion under his belt and a fourth place finish in the 2002 British Formula Renault Championship.

"I didn't know how possible F3 was going to be," Davison said. "The past six weeks have been quite nerve-wracking waiting for an answer, but now it's sorted I can't wait to get started. It's great that I have something to set my mind to, and I'm really going to go for it. It's the next big step, so it's pretty important. I'll be training really hard over summer, and then heading back to England for when testing begins in February. It's going to be fun working for an Australian and it should be a good year."

Team boss Alan Docking has seen several talented drivers pass his way on their way to the pinnacle of Motorsports such as Jacques Villeneuve, Mika Salo, Heinz-Harald Frentzen, and more recently, Mark Webber. He loves to give Australian hopefuls the chance to reach the top and is even looking at another Aussie as his third driver in 2003, Will Power.

"Thirty per cent of drivers who have raced for me have gone on to drive in F1 races," Docking said. "I enjoy having young drivers come along and taking them from one level to the next. And I like to have Aussies in the team if I can. Mark Webber was with me in 1997 and he is the most determined fellow I've ever known. His strength of character in getting to F1, against all the odds he's had to overcome, has been unbelievable. Michael Schumacher is the top shelf in F1, but Mark Webber is just one shelf down from him."

So guys,

You heard the story first.

Now just tp convince Channel 7 or 9 or 10 to run the British F3 on our screens and I will be happy.

Well done to Will. I have to say that I'm slightly disappointed, but this is just because I would have liked to see him as one of the top drivers in FRenault next year.

What I've seen this year is that Davison is a good driver, a top bloke, and thoroughly deserves an F3 drive. Why do 5 F3 meetings have to clash with FRenault next year though, so I can't watch them all?

Paul, the answer to your question about the five clashes is that BMP dont really want the F3 package, but have the promtion rights, which prevents the series getting the promotion it deserves. Ultimately BMP would just have F3 as a minor support race in its very poor btcc package.
