I saw RPM2Nite on ESPN last night and they announced that ESPN or ESPN2 willl be covering the opening Grand American event at Daytona and they went on to discuss the practice and test sessions the teams had been doing since the begionning of the year. The Cadillac Can-Am car looks sexy without a doubt. The new 7.0 liter chrome-yellow 'Vette lokked pretty nice as well. Surprisingly the new Porsche GT3 challenger was present as well and had set some excellent lap times. Unforutnately 74 year old Paul Newman destroyed one of the Champion Racing Porsches in a massive cold-tire shunt and bruised his ribs, but said they will be ready.

I hope ESPN do get coverage of the race because I have just managed to hook up to ESPN on satelite tv so im looking forward to 2000 more than ever now ...as for paul newman sure the guy can drive but isnt he really just a little bit past it now and he doesnt drive that much so his skills would be down a little. Its a bit like Craig T Nelson and Tim Taylor racing sure they have some skill but not always driving does have effect on how you perform.
