Österreichring's actually quite possible... The others are dead for good.

I'd go for Mid-America Raceways in St. Louis.

Not really an option for Riverside considering that it is now under a shopping mall and houseing development!

The worst part, really, is that only part of Riverside is under a crappy mall that no one ever goes to... The rest is just... Crumbling.

Nothing worse than a dying race track, rotting away

As Lee said, Österreichring is still a chance, but I've heard that the Austrians are looking at changing the track even more to try and get it back on the calendar for 2005...and that probably means chicanes and more crappy corners.

Actually, speaking of closed circuits, take at http://cfm.globalf1.net/images/index.htm - plenty of links to photos of circuits today etc.

Hmm... It's a recent Tilke design, so it's certainly not the circuit that's the problem for the Austrian GP. It's the tobacco, and the fact that, well, it's Austria, a country that really gets no respect from the rest of Europe, even before the Freedom party came to power. It's surrounded by the two Italian GP, German GP, and the Hungarian GP. It was really one of the easiest to toss off the schedule. Either Imola or Monza will be next... One will make a deal with the devil and completely rebuild their track, the other will be dropped. I hope it's Imola that gets wrecked, if it has to be one or the other. The damage is already done.

From what I have read, the name Paul Ricard is from the name of the guy who built the track, Paul Ricard.....

The track is still very useful, as I believe it is one of Toyota main testing facilities and many other teams still test there. Do they use the full track for testing? Who knows how fast modern day F1 cars would be going down the Mistal Strait and into Signes!

The whole Paul Richard circuit's there, though some of the corners have been reprofiled. It's a very popular testing facility, but Bernie, for whatever reason, hasn't put in spectactor facilities.
