Well Irvine must feel stupid
This was posted just yesterday on f1-live.com...pretty funny now that Jordan nearly won their 200th GP!!! hahahah poor old Irv!
Irvine happy that Jordan refused his services “They are a shadow of their former selves.” “Although I tried hard to keep my career going by offering my services to Jordan, I have to say that judging from the opening two races I'm glad it didn't work out,” he said in the Sun. “I couldn't have stood another season running near the back of the grid and, while Jordan may be celebrating their 200th race, don't expect any miracles from them. They are a shadow of their former selves. It would be great to see them running higher on the grid but it's just not going to happen. And I have to say I'm enjoying watching the action with a drink in my hand rather than being in the thick of it all.” |

Doesn't it seem sad that drivers like Fisichella, Coultard, Barrichello, and Ralf all have secure seats in F1, despite having had race winning cars for many more seasons than Jacques, yet failing to chalk up as many wins as he (let alone a WDC) that it is Jacques who doesn't have a drive in F1??? Sad indeed. |

Fate couldn't have dealt a bigger kick in the 'nads to a more over-inflated and self-impartant ego. Good riddance Eddy I say...

Eddie often says things which either aren't true (claiming to be better than everyone except Michael), are ill-advised (calling the 1996 Ferrari a 'dog' and publically criticising De La Rosa's contribution to Jag last year), or just make him look like a buffoon (the classic one "I got punched by Ayrton Senna after my first race, crashed in my second, wrote off four car sin my thrid, and got banned from my fourth. People are going to think I'm some sort of nutter"). And this si just another addition to the roll of honour.

Classic Irv.
I didn't want the job anyway. Yea, right. Why offer if you didn't want it in the first place? |

Also note that as soon as he leaves Jag, they are making consistent improvement.
