Rumour on GrandPrix.com saying that Jordan will be announcing a new sponsorship deal, part of which will include the return of Irvine as Friday tester.

Re: Rumour: Irvine to join Jordan as test driver
I seriuosly doubt that Irvine would humiliate himself by becoming a Friday tester....after all he's the 2nd best driver in the world.

I'd love to see the second best driver in the world testing on Fridays. In all seriousness, I would.

Maybe they are hinting that Mr Firman will be going down to the job centre and EI will be taking his place.

return of the swerve
Joradn need, points, points mean prizes prizes, and prizes mean sponsors.
Ralph needs more testing time, he is not up to speed yet, and to be honest wasting races learning the F1 way. Put Irvine back in the car to make the most of races, and let ralph test until the end of the season, then give him the seat once Irvine and Fisi have got some points and sponsors are knocking on the door again |

I don't think Ralph's sponsors would be very happy with that! Give the guy a chance, its not as if he's failed to qualify or been a danger to others.

After what he said about Jordan? Still, wouldn't hurt. He has some experiance. Ford Europe need to realise there's a decent team going to waste at Jordan.

Why the heck would Irvine waste his time in that way? He should go for a seat in another series. He's still got plenty left.

It would mean him needing to buy his 41st house near Northampton.

Pedro De La Rosa already tested for Mclaren, so it's better to drive then stay at home.
