Weekend Racing 19/20 April
The second round of the British NORA Championships takes place this Easter weekend (19-20 April) at the 3 Sisters Race Circuit, Wigan. With impressive entry list of over 200 riders the racing will be first class. Leading the Championship is 2002 Champion Warren Steele, racing his factory spec Husqvarna Warren is keen to hold onto his lead.
Hot on his heals is factory Honda rider Leighton Haigh, winning two of the four races at the first round at Cadwell a few weeks back, the young man from S****horpe will be hoping to hunt down and close the gap on Steele. Also in the strong line up is factory KTM rider Ady Smith who will be looking at retrieving the number one badge that he missed out on last season. Youngster and ex moto-crosser Christian Iddon will be battling to take his Husaberg to a podium finish. Add to that Andy Mitchell, Jay Smith, Adam Marshall, Mike Wright and Tim Booth and the weekend’s races are set to be extremely fought out and entertaining. All these rider are capable of standing on the top spot of the podium and expect to see some interesting battles and paint swapping to decide who will end up being victorious. Directions to Three Sisters: Please Note: There is no exit at junction 25 for Southbound M6 Traffic. For Southbound customers we recommend proceeding to Junction 24 (1 mile) and returning Northbound to Junction 25. M6 JUNCTION 25 (signposted A49 Wigan & Wigan Pier). Down long slip road to roundabout where you turn right, (signposted A49 Ashton), also a Brown directional sign for THREE SISTERS. Along the A49 for just over 3/4 mile to the first set of traffic lights, (shops on left), turn left into BRYN road, also signposted GOLBOURNE. Along BRYN road for approx 1/4 mile, turn left into LOCKETT road onto SOUTH LANCS INDUSTRIAL ESTATE. Along LOCKETT road for approx 1/4 mile and then left, following signs for THREE SISTERS. |
