Hearn and McGehee to drive
The two veterans will drive today for bump day !
For Hearn, Penske accepted to lease a car for Sam Schmidt. The real good news is for McGehee who will drive a third car for Panther Racing ! 31 cars now I believe. |

They definately have 33 now. I'd love to see Richie Hearn drive for the rest of the season, but I doubt that will happen.

Phew...
Miera makes 33. And Miera has the fastest time for a Chevy in the field - impressive. It would be nice if someone like Ganassi would run another car but Dare is on the bubble and his owner is AJ Foyt. I am sure Mr. George just closed his wallet. |

I really don't like what AJ did... not letting Airton wave off. He could have had a better spot on the grid, I know he could have!!! It wasn't like Anthony would have gotten bumped anyway, other people from today were going slower than he did, weren't they? It's just ashame to see Airton starting dead last... but I guess SOMEONE has to.

Great to see a full grid, with some impressive entries qualified in bump day, especially Vasser, Barron and Hearn. Should be a superb race, let's hope it passes without too many incidents.

Happy for Hearn; regarding McGehee, unfortunately he will run a Chevy-powered car, so his race is doomed (like other chevy-drivers)

Not a bad effort from the Chevy powered Meira in bump day qualifying though, second fastest and out-qualifying Vasser. He was the fastest Chevy as well.

Yes, racer, Meira did well, but with an average gap of 5 mph, Chevy-powered cars can hope something only if yellow flags are exposed at least 10 times.
In a normal race they will be lapped since the beginning, unfortunately. Seeing series champion Hornish n sucha situation is unbearable, isn't it? |
