Mg Sv

www.pistonheads.com

The new MG Sv is actually lapping and looks production ready- bust those flares? and the big V8
could it contest the DTM? Any thought on a good new addition to DTM?

Not sure about the colur, I also think that the car needs a rear wing, but I would still have one....

Here's what should be done with it...

1.Make wheels taller but slimmer.
2.Keep the wheel arches, but make them slimmer as well.
3.Make the fins the same colour as the body of the car.
4.Re-work the back end. Make it larger.

Voila! Ready for the DTM/BTCC!

This is a road car; the DTM cars don't have anything to do with road cars.
Also, BTCC has 2l engines; and MG already has a BTCC car.

But that... just doesn't look like a GT-class car! (At least IMO)

What I don't understand is why this car has a Ford engine. I know it has something to do with the car's "roots" as a de Tomaso/Qvale, but what sense does it make for MG to use another manufacturer's engine?

I think MG is partially owned by Ford.

No MG Rover is an inderpentant company.

Ford own Land Rover, they bought it off BMW when they dumped The Rover Group, after assit striping the company and getting 4x4 and the new Mini, but don't get me start on that subject.

MG-Rover is independent...and I like their cutting edge approach to the entire MG line...

I believe they are going to build a factory in mexico or will acquire a facility there to build their cars for the Western Hemisphere markets....a smart move with GATT (a trade agreement among North, Central & South American countries that alleviates trade duties, etc...

I want MG to come back to America!!! they will sell lots of cars here...

The car on the MG-Rover site (in the "development Zone") was silver...looked sharp...

the color above reminds my of a 1970's GM color that everyone in the States called "Baby **** Brown".....and that color stinks as bad as the substance that fills a diaper...guess you'd have to be a parent to appreciate that one....
