I don't know much about today's racing at Jerez other than Biaggi has pole, Rossi on second (this is race 4, must be time for him to win ), Checa 3rd, Roberts 4th, Criville 5th. McWilliams is 9th on the Aprilia, but I don't know if they are running Dunlop or Michelin.

Gerard should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Something weird happened at the start of the 500cc race.
Max Biaggi was on pole but during the warm-up lap he tangled with another driver (I think it was McCoy) and he fell off his bike.
The bike got fire, Biaggi went to the pits, took his second bike, had to start the warm-up lap from the pitlane, but when the flag fell he started on pole position again.
Is this all according to the rules?
When it is, what's the purpose of starting the warm-up lap from the pitlane and the race from pole position?

I don't think it was quite within the rules really. As far as I know, if you are in pit lane when it is closed (as Max obviously was), then you start from pit lane. No warm up lap, you just sit and wait for everyone to pass the pit lane at the start of the race then you can go. Apart from that, I don't think they should have had the restart at the beginning.

And Roberts needs to learn how to count.

Apart from that....well done Rossi.
