Damon should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Yes he was but the key then was that he ran later in the session when the track was far cleaner.

I think tommorow could be interesting. Renault has done some interesting strategies at times. Sometimes it's worked, like Alonso at Monaco, and sometimes it hasn't.

I'm just hoping the Jaguar has race pace, not just qualifying pace. As for Wilson, I'll stand by my original thoughts and that was the first two races with the team really aren't going to be indicative. Especially with the summer break and lack of testing.

Just a thought. If the times were averaged between Friday and Saturday Webber would be on pole.

Hey ho, I'll get me coat now.

Webber could be well-placed to spring a top 5 finsih tomorrow, espeically with his advantage ont eh starting on the clean side (which will be a massive effect this eyasr with no warm-up).

Reanult do look genuinely fast this weekend, all the free-practice reasults bear that out.

When's the last time a number as high as 36 was used on an F1 car? Nice quirk for Dolt Slowgardener.

The championship could be really shook up by this. For the first time in yeaers, I'm looking forward to teh Hungarian grand Prix.

I think they are!
Alonso lifted off the second he went over the line and then dropped the car into the highest gear it would run in, the only reason you do that is to save fuel...

I think he'll stop somewhere between lap 11 and 15.

In all fairness Ian, all the drivers do/are instructed to do that. Martin Brundle and James Allan said today that there was not much difference between a 2 stopper and a 3, but they believed that Williams and Ferrari would go for a 3. If they are then Renault (imo) must be going for a 3 stopper with a shorter first stint, if your guess of 11-15 laps for the first stop is accurate, then they will have to make their 2nd and 3rd set of tyres last 28-30 laps each time, that could be risky bearing in mind that Trulli tried to make his tyres last 28 laps at Hockenheim and he struggled big time.

Anyone think its wrong that Montoya is ahead of Rubens when they set equal times, despite Rubens being quicker yesterday?

Though it'll probably be and advantage for Rubens at Hungary its a loophole that I think should be closed.

It's always been the case that the person that first sets the time gets the position, not really a loophole as I don't think any team what try to do it on purpose. It's just the way it is.

Its 3 consecutive races that RB has outqualified him, I know the new rules are highly significant but Rubens really pushed him last year too!

Scumacher definately is finding it a lot tougher this year & i think it's going to be a long struggle for him in the race.
