Read this at F1-Live:
The Ferrari team freighted one of thier new F2001 chassis back to Italy after the season opening Australian Grand Prix in order for regular driver, Rubens Barrichello to test at their private testing circuit once it had been prepared, however their efforts were compromised slightly when the car was delayed for an extra day in Bangkok due to plane trouble. It finally arrived and the Brazilian driver joined in the action yesterday with the teams test driver, Luca Badoer, who began the session with the old F300 and F1-2000 at Fiorano and also carried out wet weather tests on the artificially flooded circuit. The engines have also been returned and have been checked on the test bed and it is thought that there will be a few modifications for the upcoming Malaysian GP. After their first and third placings at the season opener where both drivers proved the reliability and speed of the F2001, they now head to the Sepang circuit in Malaysia. However, according to Ferrari spokesman, Claudio Berro, they aren't expecting things to run as smoothly for the second race as it did for the first. "This is going to be a very difficult race for us," Berro remarked. "A test of our competitiveness and reliability." What do u think berro meant by this? Someone suggested it was as a result of the day ferrari lost testing and so they didn't do all the development they wanted. |

What is more interesting is why they tested the F300 (the 1998 model) instead of the F399 or the F1-2000...?
Surely, i hope Ferrari is just sandbagging. I'd really wish that the reds win if i am going to make my trip to Malaysia worth all the trouble |
