Alpina should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I am afraid that the Minis can't handle the bumps. some guys have tried but they just don't have the suspension travel. Also Minis tend to be rustbuckets. I know I have welded up a few.

At the moment I think it is going to be a Pug 205 1.9 Gti, Fiesta XR2i, VW Gti or a MG maestro 2.0 and if I can find a V6 Alfa maybe.

Don't give me those funny SI units! What you mean is 192bhp. I was thinking about a 164 rather than the 75 though.

It is that small dutch RWD Volvo, and B23 is 2.3 liter four. But what the regulations are? Should the car and the engine be from the same model? Model is quite old, it is cheap. Even here in Finland.
But watched autocross like it is in UK, all the cars looks to be small front wheel driven hatches like 205. How about Astra GTE it has the diff lock and all as stock.

The regs are pretty free. Just depend on engine size. So an Astra is an option but they don't seem to come up. I am considering going down to some salvage yards and seeing if they will sell me a damaged car. I don't care what it looks like as long as the chassis is straight.
429 I have never seen a small, big engined Volvo here.

That's just what I was thinking of, original 340 - 360 had Renault engines 1.4 - 2 liters. That 2.3 is from 240 - 740 Volvos.

You know what I meant. Hydropneumatic or something like that.
I didn't think the 164 was that big..
