Friday Free Practice
Session red flagged !....Fisi's engine blew up and put oil down all through the Indy turn 1 ( F1 turn 13 i think )
Montoya went wide on the first turn on his first hot lap......he looked like a animal let out of a cage when the pit lane opened ! Last edited by Sato san; 26 Sep 2003 at 16:44. |

session re-started , but its pouring down with rain now !

Looking at the Live-timing from F1-live, they are fighting it real hard earlier on.....everything to get the mental advantage huh?

yes, Fisi didnt get out for about the 1st hour i think......
Blimey , this is impressive ,....there coming through the last turn at full chat in the wet ! i bet the yanks have never seen any thing like this at INDY !

Why doesn't anyone try to drive around the wet track to gain some insight into wet-weather setups and feel? |

Montoya and Michael are trying some real different lines through the final long sweeping corner onto the main straight ....and they seem to be quicker too.

The rain has sort of spoilt it for us who can only see the timing screens. No more improvements and I don't think I can watch every sector to see if someone is going well in the conditions!

well.......if it stays wet , then that will really throw a double 6 when it come to qualifing in a hour or so ....although , a dry line has emerged now...
still , im sure it could easily rain again ... |

I think Juan did improve a bit , but for about the last 3 laps , Michael and Juan were playing silly buggers with each other and trying to race each other....taking different lines etc , but Juan kept him behind him and Michael ended up going in the pits...
