I thought they were only classified if they were within a certain number of laps of the winner when they retired. If not they are not classified and, theoretically, not in a position.

Since the comp started back in March, this has been the rule, otherwise we'll take somebodies answers down then they decide to change them a day later and it's a nightmare to change it all.

As for it not being specified at the beginning, that has been the rule for a longggggggggggg time and something that myself and Sato have seemed to point out every comp.

You guys aren't learning yet are you, an answer of just Schumacher doesn't get you any points, you need to specify Michael or Rafe.

Just wondering, Speedbump, how you expect Kimi and JPM are going to end up with those points, they both need to score 10 to acheive that, and thats never happened in the history of F1 before

He's actually right. A driver is classified ONLY if he had completed 90% of the race. Otherwise he is not classified and he's not in a position, as knowlesy says.

When they are showing the results on the TV screen, they show the "Not classified" drivers apart of the classified drivers. Those "Not classified" drivers don't have a position and only a list is shown, not positions.
