Would AVESCO ever be prepared to alter their calendar so they finish the season with the Indy round as if it was the decider the drivers would be prepared to have more of a crack & not conserve their cars for the next round, it may actually increase overtaking during their races over the weekend.

I find myself agreeing with people I don't normally agree with.

I think most Australian thinking motorsport fans don't believe that Supercar parity racing is giving us what we want. That's got nothing to do with today's Ford win. We don't want another Nissan GTR serving it up to us either. We just want cars racing on their merits in a fair competition.

Maybe it's just the fact we have only two makes in V8 Supercars that's making it boring. I know the one make series' that we have at the moment are boring me to tears.

I've seen some great 'One Make' series. Mainly at Amaroo, but also at other places. AlfaSuds, Triumph TR7s (believe it or not), Ford Lasers, Geminis (at Lakeside), etc. The MGFs are so boring, I can't believe it.
There has to be an answer. It might be BRutes (with ****y nicknames), but probably not. Luckily for me, summer approaches, and with it, PCR and Sprintcar racing. |

Drop the parity adjustments, lose the 'two manufacturers only' mentality, give them a standard driveline/gearbox etc... so the drivers learn to conserve/look after equipment, run standard bodywork and we are halfway to making it better. The other half lies with the company management.....

The reason it was a little dull was the compulsory pitstop for a 100km race. Insane. The race should be longer, with a bigger pit window.
The clever thing is what Jetsetter mentioned, to take advantage of the Indy party atmosphere and run it as the last series event... the drivers would let their hair down and celebrate properly, being the last race of the season. And it would give them time to get those high powered telescopes in for next year.... Get rid of the ChampCars... their race was a joke. Again. |

the reason its dull is its past its use by date time to move on changing the format 1000000000000000 times means nothing .
I agree with get rid on Champ cars a bunch of hacks making rookie mistakes over and over again I'd prefer they make it into another Macau with a big F3 event with hot new talent AND maybe launching another Aussie into F1 stardome and IF the V8 r still here (hope not) they could support it |

AT least Indy itself is never boring.
I have Indy fever after the event, you know no voice, sore feet, lack of sleep. |

TC ruins another race meeting with his pighead ironfist running of this series.
