Astra
Are the Holden badged Astra's sold in Australia fitted with a different engine to the Opel and Vauxhall badged one's sold in Europe and the rest of the world?
I assumed we just had them imported in the same spec, but i have been lead to believe differently. Thanks |

I've just had a quick look at the Holden and Vauxhall websites. The Holden one says you can get a 1.8, 2.2 and 2.0 (petrol) turbo. All these engines can be had in Vauxhalls along with others like a 1.4, 1.6, and a couple of diesels.
The combinations of interior trims and engines might differ between the GM brands but that seems to be it. |

racer, the engines are the same as those overseas. Specs may not be identical and we do get different names for some of the models.
The Vectra, when it was around, did run with a local 2.2 when it was built here but overseas spec V6. |
