So what you're saying is the time I spent reading the thread and replying could have been better spent designing a machine that peels grapes?

no. peeling grapes is useful. make a machine that removes dust from the ceiling.

I'd like to defend the Renault points system, as I found it easy to follow for the past two seasons, and it means that the championship is almost always going to be decided at the very last round, giving an almost festival-type ending to the new-format winter series (which was, at first, named the "Winter Festival".)
The points scored were 15-12-10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 for the heats, doubled for the final, with 2 points for the fastest lap in each. It meant that the heats counted for points as well as grid placings in the final, and that there were some big points gaps from 1st-10th place (In the main series the top 20 score from 32-1). |
