Thank You From James Beckett
I would like to personally thank you all for your support concerning the BRDC Walter Hayes Trophy at Silverstone this weekend.
This event couldn't have happened without the drivers, marshals, officials, spectators etc. etc. - the list goes on. I have enjoyed every minute of it - and it was a great thrill to see the packed grid pull away for the final (sorry about the weather). I am overwhelmed to have been presented with an awrd 'from the competitors' at the official prizegiving in the BRDC Clubhouse - a big Thank You - it means a lot to me! So - put this date in your diary for 2004 - Saturday & Sunday November 6-7th. The fourth running of the BRDC Walter Hayes Trophy ! Please feel free to email me any comments you may have to: James.Beckett@brdc.co.uk or you can call on 01327 320242. James |

James
I'm sure I won't be the last person to post here thanking you for a wonderful weekend. I'm sure you are now only too well aware how much your efforts are appreciated and we will all be right behind you to make the 20004 BRDC Walter Hayes Trophy even bigger and better! Ian |

I have just noticed that I was planning a very long way in advance there. I hope I'm there to see the WHT in 20004, but in the meantime a good one in 2004 will do me fine!

I would like to thank Nick and Eric Hewitt at Hewitt Motor Sport for loaning me their engine. Without their help and that of Dave working all of Thursday night it would have been different.
Well done to Joey, 1/2 my age and twice the speed! |

Thanks very much James brilliant Day yesterday , i know i only did half of the event but i enjoyed it all the same.
Sarah(wife) also couldn't believe how fautlessly the whole day ran and wishes she'd brought her RF86 .Brother Guy was crew Cheif yesterday mumuring something about wishing he hadn't sent his engine off for winter rebuild. So i think next year is defo going to bigger and better . Once again a big WELL DONE James and all at the BRDC for putting on such a wonderfull event for club motorsport and not taking the p**s,like so may others do with the entry fees. Jason. |

Well done James on organising a great day out. After all our trouble Nathan came away with more than wanted with 1 win in the last chance, 1 class win and 8th overall in the final.
Many thanks James |

Shame I had no car, but enjoyed being part of the atmosphere. Will be there with car next year! I echo Jminsh. The entry fee represented true value for money, great event well done James and the BRDC.

Fantastic weekend James. Well done.
Shame I got so excited at being 2nd behind Gavin in qualifying that I put it in first instead of third exiting Becketts. Don kindly offered to lend his spare engine (mine having FIVE holes in it but sadly my flywheel had also busted a big crack in the bellhousing... Whatever, I'll be back next year. Idea - why not add some sort of race on the International track to the Walter Hayes and the Jim Walsh and you've got yourself a BRDC FF1600 'championship' Thanks again |
