State Championships - Qld Raceway - Nov 29 & 30
The final race meeting for the year in Queensland. With the titles still up for grabs, expect bumper fields in both the crowd favourite classes, Historic Touring Cars & Improved Production Touring Cars. See you there.
Crash Test might even pop in too. |

Entries have closed and there are some really good fields.
The Historic Touring Car State Championship is still wide open and literally anyone can win it, with 25 entries and some real variey, it's a good field. Improved Production Touring Cars have 28 entries, as well as the locals who have been fighting out for the Championship all year, there are some quick guys who have been running in the NSW Championship who will also be having a run. There are over 30 entries for the Sports cars and a very mixed bag it is. Our very own FalconEL will be trying to win the Sports Sedan State Championship for the third time. With 12 points up for grabs and an 11 point lead, he needs just one point to put him out of reach of his pursuers. Good luck Chris. |

Wakefield Park today was very hot. Track was slick with the heat and a few people had unexpected excursions. The Group Ns had a near capacity field of 36!! The Grid went all the way up to the hairpin coming onto the main straight and then some! Great racing - XW/XY #76 won, the red one, you know.....damn....my program is in the boot of the car. Big sports car and open wheeler fields as well. Had a short chat with Uncle Mike who was doing some trackside recovery work just for a change. A good day and an even better one expected tommorrow. |
