Pug colours

Hey.

I have just got hold of a model Pugeot 406, and I dont know what colours to paint it.

I don't really want to do gold/green, so are there any Pug 406's from around the world that I could to a replica of?

I remember a red/blue one in BTCC (Matt Neal?), but thats it.

Any help/pics/links welcome.

Well there's the STW version of Laurent Aiello's in yellow/blue you could do, or as you mentioned one of the 1996 BTCC 406 in Total colours.

I think redshoes site - www.redshoes-archive.co.uk could help you out.

I've got models of 406's in the gold/green BTCC colours, Yellow Hasseroder STW livery and red SUDAM colours. There is also the red/blue BTCC car you mention, I'm sure there is a model available of a Belgian procar 406 in mostly blue.

There's a few different schemes to choose from - it's just a case of finding decent reference matreial now Good luck!

I think the Halfords colour scheme was only applied to the 406 coupe, I don't remember seeing the saloon that colour.

There is also a white test car... easyer than the others...
Peugeot sport Belgium was very beautiful... it run for 2 years, in 1996 with Bachelart and in 1997 with Radermecker (at Spa with Fisichella)
There are also many french privateer team GEMO sport 406 - yellow - , the green gold in Australia '99 and at Macau - like the BTCC one -

Anyone got any pics/links to these?

They sound like good targets for a replica.

Thanks.

I think Aiello ran a car in the Hasseroder livery as well.
(The images above were swiped from ebay)

This link gives a list of the various diecast models available, there's quite a few pictures of the 406 models available (BTCC, Belgian procar, SUDAM, STW, Test car).

(I'm not really bored - honest )

Ooops, I forgot, the pink Pug was actually an old 405, not 406. The Belgium 406 ones were very nice.

There was also a very nice looking blue and yellow one raced here in Oz. I thought I had a pic, can't find it though. Was raced by Tony Newman then Alan Gurr, was quite unreliable!!

I'm tempted by the Belgian Radermecker car at the moment....
