Bugger me, I took a colleague up to Oulton to do a trackday in a rented Peugeot on Friday.

The place is bloody frightening, like Cadwell but twice as quick.

The long circuit is awesome.

Hi Johnmiller,
We were there at Oulton on the book a track day last friday. It is still a great circuit, but it was very slippery on the day. On a hot summer day racing on the international circuit is truly sublime.
Enjoy

Dont suppose a flywheel falling off at the previous meeting - giving say nine , nine and a half grand would constitute an "over rev"???

Have you sorted a good engine out for Ian yet?

Hi Dave.
Happy New Year etc.

It was a few meetings before when the flywheel went walkies actually Dave.

Having pulled the engine out now, it just seems unusual that the cam had snapped rather than a rod or crank failure.

NBold has a block that is getting linered (Although 1760 cc seemed ok to me!) and I suppose the rest of the bits will need to be sorted by him.

I did think of getting the original block repaired as it has a hole about the size of a 60p piece(i.e. a bit bigger than a 50p piece) in the exhaust side of it, low down at the back.
