At one time the most knowledgeable people in the industry said (1) humanity would not go to the moon; (2) There was only a market for 6 computers in the world and nobody needed fax machines; (3) it was impossible for everyone to have telephones because there were not enough women to be operators; and (4) within the next 10 years New York City would be hip deep in horse manure if the city's growth continued, by multiplying the number of people by the number of horses they would require.
