Gabrielle Rumi passes
The personable owner of Faenza Football Club, Fondmetal Technologies, and previous owner of Minardi Grand Prix passed away today from cancer. He will be long remembered as the driving force behind the minnow F1 team that kept the dream alive for many small privateer outfits. His passion for F1 made him into one of F1's great characters and his passing will be missed.
My condolences go out to his family and the team. |

I had no idea
Can't help but thinking selling his stake in Minardi had something to do with it but not in terms of money or jumping ship or whatever, (which was my previous conception of it all). I stand corrected. My condoleances and humble apologies. |

Quino, I too was upset with Rumi at the time, but now it seems clear there was more to the story. A hearty round of applause in your direction, Mr Rumi.
