Rodolfo Lavin + Corona = Sauber?
It is rumoured, that Mexican Corona beer will be the new sponsor of Sauber F1 team next season. Also this will get Rodolfo Lavin a job at least as test driver of Sauber. Red Bull will concentrate on Jaguar team.

Lavin isn't exactly F1 caliber outside of perhaps driving for Minardi. (because they sometimes have drivers who shouldn't be in F1)

good to see that Sauber still interests sponsors . that should provide stability and funds for further developments

Yeah, I saw that article too and couldn't believe it. Lavin is pants and barely deserves to be in Champ Car, an F1 car would be waay, Way, WAY over his head.

Well..i think sauber won't complain being paid well and get a free somebody to run around a test track doing tire evaluations with old Saubers
It's impressive that given the privateer non-works teams, while Minardi and Jordan struggled to secure sponsorship, Sauber is attracting new sponsors while managing to retain loyal big buck sponsors/partners like credit and Petronas. And they are going to need the cash if they want to further develope their car while exploiting the new windtunnel. |

I can't see what Lavin can do as a driver for Sauber as he would be that far out of his depth in F1.
