Webber Wins in Monaco!!!
Just as suggested, Mark Webber won today's (Sat May 26) round of the F3000 championship in Monaco.
This is fantastic news for Webber fans and F3000 fans in general, as the championship is really beginning to tighten up. Series leader, Justin Wilson finished second. The gap between Webber and Wilson is now 11 points. |

Nice race from Webber: pole, win and fastest lap. For sure the best driver in the most demanding circuit of the season. But Wilson is doing his homework, if he keeps up this consistency, title will be in his pocket.
Also wonderful job of Ricardo MaurĂ*cio: eight months without driving, and he score a point and, most important thing, handled the huge pressure of Enge throughout the whole race. But I just wonder something: how come David Sears gave a seat to such a burocrat as Haberfeld??? |

I think that the FIA must take action. On that track it is not possible to race anymore.
There wasn't one passing manoeuvre in the hole race. Dengue was a lot quicker than Maurice but it was not possible to pass him. Lenders was also a lot quicker then Chambered but it ... I think it will be the same tomorrow. Tradition is fine but racing is nicer, so replace Monaco!!! |

Sorry, but the spell check has changed the names. I must hack with the spell check because my English isn't very good. So I post it again with the good names.

Love it!
Well, you might just have invented some new nick-names there, JVA!! I love "Chambered" for Haberfeld!
As for the race, I found it quite exciting, despite the lack of overtaking (didn't Friesacher overtake btw). There were a couple of close duels, like Haberfeld v. Leinders and Enge v. Mauricio. I say leave Monaco as it is, to me, it's the jewel in the crown! We don't always see all that much overtaking elsewhere either, remember Spain this year? (zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz) Webber winning is good for the championship battle, but I agree with Faster, Justin Wilson is for sure developing into "mr. Consistency" this year. The title battle will surely be between Wilson, Enge and Webber. Can't wait for it to continue! |

Congratulations Mark Webber, an enjoyable and dominant display. He built a five second lead before the safety car came out for the second time then built it up to 2 seconds again. Magnificent.

Webber did what he had to do in Monaco. But Wilson was right behind him. So far Wilson hasn't made a single mistake -except that he missed his start in Spain , still he was third- and if he keeps it up it's gonna be hard for Webber.
Well they can still use Haberfeld as cannon fodder to bump Justin out of the races Just kidding, however it's the only thing Haberfeld is good for. Chirst, the guy drives a SuperNova car! How slow can you be. |
